Here is the first item to appear from Marvelauctions on ebay. Here is the listing:

You are being given the unique opportunity to bid on one of several Military Costume Sets that are available in various sizes and were used in the production of the upcoming Marvel Studios theatrical release, “Captain America: The First Avenger” starring Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving.

This wardrobe piece comes directly from the Marvel Studios archives. Included within this set is a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY, signed and dated by Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios and the Producer of “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

Captain America debuted in Captain America Comics #1 (1941), created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. The character made his first appearance in the modern Marvel Universe in Avengers #4 (1964). Since his introduction, Captain America has appeared in numerous forms of media including movie serials, feature films, animated series and feature-length animated films. He is also one of the stars of Marvel Studios’ two hit animated series, “The Super Hero Squad Show” and “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!”  Now Marvel Studios is proud to present Captain America in his first feature film lead role: “Captain America: The First Avenger” tentatively scheduled for release in theaters on July 22, 2011! Also, you can see Captain America again in “Marvel Studios’ The Avengers,” tentatively scheduled for release in theaters on May 4, 2012!

This piece is being sold as a decorative collector’s piece and movie memorabilia only.

You are bidding on for one Military Costume Set as pictured and not the Captain America Costume!

Unfortunately they don’t seem to have done there homework as a $999.99 opening bid on what is essentially a military background uniform….well….its not happening. BUT somehow the item already has 668 page views….

I just don’t get ebay sometimes.
